Michael Zarate Location Manager: Bradenton
Michael Zarate is a Tampa Bay native who has worked as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2017. He has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities since 2007. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida in 2014. He then earned his Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at USF, conducting research and studying under Dr. Raymond Miltenberger. In the past, Michael has provided ABA services in many different settings including behavior-focused group homes, Adult Day training programs, public and private schools, community environments, family homes, summer camps, and early intervention centers. Within the field of ABA, Michael has interests in research, early intervention, and responding to challenging behaviors. Michael’s Master’s thesis was published in the ABA journal, Behavior Interventions, in 2019. He enjoys working with young children through early intervention and seeing them progress with their verbal and social skills, but he also has experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. During his free time, Michael enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three daughters. Aside from being a “girl dad”, his favorite things to do are going to the beach, exploring new places, playing sports, long-distance running, doing yoga, and listening to his favorite reggae music bands.
