About
Mary Spivey attended Barry University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Student Education and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is currently a Licensed Educator in the State of Florida and holds a certification in ESE K-12 and General Education K-6 with an ESOL endorsement. She attended Kaplan University and received her Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
She was a practicing Educator in Marion County for 6 years. During this time she taught a students with a variety of exceptionalities. After seeing the impact ABA techniques had on her students, she decided to seek out a position as a Behavior Analyst to better assist children and their families. She left the school system and has been a practicing Behavior Analyst with Behavior Analysis Support Services since June 2014. She is particularly interested in the Analysis of Verbal Behavior and Functional Communication.
In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and children at theme parks. She also enjoys reading, working out, and baking. Her favorite hobby is training for and running in a variety of distance races including Marathons.
