KAITLYN ADAMS SLP: PALM HARBOR
Kaitlyn is originally from New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from La Salle University in 2016 and 2017. She started her career in a public school providing pull-out services and in-class lessons for kids with varying diagnoses and communication disorders in PreK-12th grade. During that time, she received her Graduate Certificate in Assistive Technology from Northern Arizona University. After relocating to Maryland in 2019, Kait worked as an early childhood (PreK-2) speech-language pathologist at a private school for kids with autism spectrum disorder. In this setting, she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team using DIR-floortime and relationship-based approaches to develop prelinguistic and linguistic skills in early communicators. Shortly after COVID began, Kait transitioned into a private practice setting in Virginia where she held both center manager and clinician roles. Throughout these settings, Kait had extensive experience working with children diagnosed with ASD, sensory processing disorders, and sensory-emotional regulation difficulties. Kait received her DIR Basic Certificate through ICDL in November 2021 and is currently enrolled in her PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development through Fielding University. In her free time, she enjoys trips to the beaches, trying new restaurants, and relaxing with her boyfriend and mini-dachshund, Harley. Kait is thrilled to be a part of the BASS team and utilize her training to build functional, multimodal communication skills in all of her kids!
